The Foundation is excited to highlight our Director of Operations and Chief of Staff, Megan Bransfield.
In her role at the Foundation (CFMW), Megan is responsible for ensuring that our staff have all the tools they need to be successful. This includes everything from systems and project management to teambuilding and staff culture. Megan also supports Marketing and Communications at the Foundation with strategy and priorities.
Megan came to the Foundation almost a decade ago after taking a little time to be at home with her two children. After searching for a position that would allow her to support an organization focused on community building, she stumbled upon the Foundation.
“I wasn’t familiar with Community Foundations until I interviewed at CFMW and now I make it my mission to share with everyone the importance of supporting and connecting with their local community foundation. I believe in the work of making our community stronger and more vibrant for everyone who lives here,” Megan says.
“We are so grateful to Megan for the leadership and support she provides to our team.” says Jay Kim, Community Foundation MetroWest Executive Director. “By ensuring the success of our team, Megan ultimately elevates the Foundation as a whole.”
Megan brings over two decades of nonprofit experience to the role with a focus on operations and admin support, including her 8 years at the Foundation. Prior to her time at CFMW, she worked in Development Operations for 6 years at Earthwatch Institute, a citizen science environmental organization in Boston.
Megan resides in Hopkinton with her husband Chris, her two children Clara and Henry, and their cat Frank.
When Megan is not helping things run smoothly at the Foundation, she can usually be found curled up with a good book, traveling, running, or whipping up a delicious meal.
