Staff Spotlight: Alyssa Berkson, Program Manager

The Foundation is thrilled to welcome Alyssa Berkson as Program Manager!

As Program Manager, Alyssa is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the Foundation’s programs including Youth in Philanthropy and the Center for Philanthropy Education.
“As a Youth in Philanthropy alum and Framingham native, I have experienced the value of MetroWest programming and I am excited to help continue to provide those opportunities to my community,” shared Berkson.

In her previous role, Alyssa worked for a private family foundation in program operations, coordinating leadership development programs targeted at communal professionals, educators, and arts professionals across North America.

“With an exciting year ahead in programming, especially with our partnership with BARR Foundation’s “Creative Commonwealth Initiative,” we are thrilled to have Alyssa on the team .” says Jay Kim, Community Foundation MetroWest Executive Director.

Alyssa earned her bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from Brandeis University, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Social Impact at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.

When Alyssa is not at work or in class, you can find her singing in a choir or working on a new knitting project.
