Spring Inspiration Breakfast: Honoring John Donovan & Donna Hale

The Community Foundation for MetroWest is set to host its highly anticipated Annual Spring Inspiration Breakfast on April 8, 2026, where community members, donors, and local philanthropists will gather for a morning of inspiration, connection, and local impact.

This year’s event will honor John Donovan and Donna Hale as Community Philanthropist Honorees. Known for their deep commitment to MetroWest, John and Donna have made a lasting impact through their thoughtful, hands-on approach to giving. They have supported a wide range of local nonprofits and initiatives, including the Community Foundation for MetroWest, Bethany Hill Place, the Boston Bar Foundation, and The Good Shepherd Parish of Wayland, helping to expand opportunities, strengthen essential services, and respond to emerging community needs. Their philanthropy reflects a strong belief in showing up, building relationships, and investing in the well-being of others.

“MetroWest is our home, and giving back here just feels natural,” said John and Donna. “We’re grateful to be part of a community where people care deeply and step up for one another.”

The program will include a keynote speaker, Holly Fogle, Co-Principal of the Monarch Foundation, who brings a wealth of experience in driving community-led change.  As a passionate advocate for philanthropy, Holly will share insights into the power of collective action and the role each of us can play in creating meaningful, long-term impact.

“John and Donna exemplify what it means to lead with generosity and purpose,” said Jay Kim, Executive Director of the Community Foundation for MetroWest. “Through decades of civic leadership, professional excellence, and hands-on service, from Donna’s grassroots community work to John’s accomplished career as a trial lawyer and his leadership in the legal community, they have made a lasting impact across MetroWest. We are honored to celebrate their extraordinary dedication to the region.”

The Spring Inspiration Breakfast is one of the Community Foundation for MetroWest’s signature events, celebrating the people and partnerships that help build a stronger MetroWest.
