To honor Maisey’s memory, the Maisey O’Donnell Fund hopes to create a state-of-the-art diving facility at the Beede Center in Concord, Massachusetts—a place that meant so much to her.
Maisey spent countless hours training at Beede, a community recreation center with a pool. The diving equipment remains unchanged since the facility opened in 2006. With your help, the Maisey O’Donnell Fund can add essential tools — a trampoline with spotting rig and a dry diving board (“dry board”) with landing pit — that will make diving safer and enable divers to acquire more advanced skills to reach their full potential. Maisey would have loved to use a trampoline and dry board for training.
The Fund envisions starting with a seasonal, open-air space—this is simple to set up by making use of the available area. Over time, with your support, the Fund hopes to expand and improve the facility, eventually roofing the space and transforming it into a versatile, year-round area for diver training. The Fund’s long-term vision is to work with the Beede Center and the Town of Concord to create this new space at Beede.
Your gift to the Maisey O’Donnell Fund will help future divers discover the same joy, confidence, and community that Maisey found through the sport and at Beede. Thank you for helping us keep her spirit alive. Your gift will help cement the Beede Center as the best diving facility for training and competition in the Greater Boston area.
