Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) has educated more than 2,500 MetroWest youth who have helped grant $1.5 million to support nonprofits in our local cities and towns. YIP teaches students to be philanthropic by providing them with the opportunity to meet nonprofit leaders, work collaboratively with their peers, and award Youth Development grants.
YIP’s influence goes beyond traditional volunteer work. The program helps teens learn real-life, strategic principles of philanthropy and establish a lifelong passion for giving back. At the close of their time in YIP, teens have the knowledge, confidence and skills to take on leadership roles and pursue a lifelong commitment to philanthropy. Youth in Philanthropy is made possible thanks to our generous community funding partners.
