About the Corporate Philanthropy Advisory Board

The Community Foundation for MetroWest (CFMW) Corporate Philanthropy Advisory Board will support the Foundation in developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy that further enhances the Foundation’s mission and engages more MetroWest businesses in local philanthropy. Furthermore, this board will advise the Foundation on how to build and maintain mutually beneficial corporate partnerships and collaborations in a way that demonstrates to our community that local philanthropy is vital to the health and vibrancy of our region, and it’s good for business. 

The three primary focus areas of this board include:

 Identify and leverage opportunities to expand our network of partners and donors, enhancing the Foundation’s ability to connect and grow this work.

Support overall engagement, development, and stewardship strategies as it relates to new and existing corporate partners.

  • Help the Foundation understand what motivates corporate partners
  • Help bring awareness to the ways businesses can partner and sponsor CFMW
  • Play a leadership role in corporate events (i.e Community Leadership Reception)
  • Suggest new corporate partner benefits
  • Promote unique CFMW corporate sponsorship opportunities and collaborations

Assist the Foundation achieve the goals of Workforce Development Action Project including providing access to better careers and jobs that make a meaningful impact on income inequality and poverty rates for disadvantaged groups in our region.

Responsibilities of Joining the CPAB

Attend three meetings/year

Make a corporate gift to support the CFMW

Provide feedback and insight on all CFMW corporate giving strategies

Participate on the Community Leadership Reception Event Committee (October 10th)

Assist with cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new and existing relationships

Optional: Speak at various public forums
