Staff Spotlight: Matt Jose, Senior Program Officer, Action Projects

The Foundation is thrilled to announce Matt Jose’s promotion from Program Officer to Senior Program Officer, Action Projects.

In his previous role, Matt managed the strategy and execution of our Youth in Philanthropy and Center for Philanthropy Education programs, serving our youth and nonprofit community across MetroWest.  He also assisted with operations and execution of our grant programs including all discretionary funding and our newly established Workforce Development Action Project.

In this new role, Matt will be tasked with collaborating with our corporate partners and nonprofit community to support the growth across all our action projects. Matt brings extensive experience in nonprofit fundraising as well as program design, execution, and evaluation.  In addition, he has worked on the corporate side of volunteer engagement and is excited to work with our corporate partners in an authentic way.

“Matt has been a valuable member of our staff since he joined us three years ago.  We are excited for Matt to build even deeper relationships with our Corporate and Non-profit partners as he focuses on the impact of our Action Projects.” says Jay Kim, Community Foundation MetroWest Executive Director.

Matt holds a bachelor’s from Assumption University (formerly Assumption College), as well as a master’s from Boston College.

Originally from Warwick, RI, Matt currently resides in Framingham with his Wife, Allie, and two sons, Miles (3) and Leo (2 months). When not working, you can find Matt practicing his swing out on the golf course, wrestling with his son Miles, putting Leo down for naps, and finding new playgrounds around MetroWest.

Game of Thrones fans can also catch Matt’s podcast Ned Stark’s Talking Heads, a Game of Thrones reaction podcast, on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you stream your podcasts.
